About Alexis:

At 23 years old, I currently reside in Denver, Colorado. I am a supporter of sustainability and animal welfare practices. In my free time, you can find me traveling, going to concerts/festivals, and hiking various mountains. My favorite hobbies include acrylic painting, roller skating, gardening, and up-cycling furniture.

Education:

I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and upon graduating high school I attended the University of South Carolina. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelors in Business Management and Marketing while also maintaining the Dean’s List each semester. Throughout college, I was the Vice President of the Miss Gamecock Scholarship Organization which is a prelim for Miss South Carolina. Each year I helped plan and orchestrate the pageant production while also leading a group of individuals in weekly meetings and events.

Volunteer:

For over a decade, I have been a volunteer at Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove,¬†Georgia. My parents were volunteers there before I was even born, so you could say it runs in my blood. My father and I were awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2014 due to our various volunteer efforts and countless hours spent there each and every week.

Another organization I am passionate about is Pawmetto Lifeline in Columbia, SC. I volunteered there every weekend throughout college and was able to help multiple dogs and cats find their furever homes.

My current volunteer efforts are towards Dumb Friends League in Denver, Colorado. They are passionate about taking in every animal that needs a home from hedgehogs to horses and giving them a full-filled life. Their initiatives are aligned with mine as they actively work towards ending pet homelessness and animal suffering.

Currently:

I am balancing a full-time job as an insurance broker and being Miss Denver County USA. Overall, I promote a healthy lifestyle day-to-day and actively work to better myself by eating healthy and going to the gym. Recently I aided in a clean-up at Easter Seals Camp in Empire, CO and a Clear Creek Clean-Up day in Golden, CO. Thank you for following my journey!
